Diversity, equity and inclusion

Our Commitment

Valuing diversity and fostering inclusion are top priorities for La Marzocco, aimed at supporting a stimulating, inclusive, and participatory work environment that respects all forms of diversity.
This environment is grounded in principles of fairness, freedom, and dignity in professional relationships and must be free from discriminatory behavior, both on an individual and collective level.
La Marzocco sees diversity as a resource to be preserved and enhanced—not only within the company itself but also in its relationships with external stakeholders. Our daily commitment is to recognize diversity, evaluating all individuals intrinsically, both as individuals and as members of groups. Our company policy is based on the belief that different dimensions of diversity can foster positive exchange, adding value to the company as a whole.
Through a strong commitment from top management to Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Gender Equality, La Marzocco has adopted a Management System that applies inclusive policies, processes, practices, and governance operations.
A Culture of Belonging

Our approach to people management stems from a culture of intercultural exchange and inclusion. We promote a respectful and accessible work environment that values differences and fosters a strong sense of belonging.
Our strategies and policies for promoting diversity and inclusion are integrated into La Marzocco’s vision, which sets out clear, measurable objectives that are transparently monitored and reported.
To ensure these principles are put into practice, a Committee for the Implementation of D&I and Gender Equality Principles has been established. This committee is responsible for raising daily awareness and collecting suggestions for improvement. It also monitors the correct application of the D&I and Gender Equality policy and gathers feedback and suggestions via the following form: Discrimination Reporting Form.

Diversity for Inclusion

Generational Diversity

La Marzocco views the coexistence of multiple generations within the company as a value for everyone. Fostering intergenerational collaboration means embracing change and driving innovation, while appreciating the knowledge and perspectives of every age group.

To facilitate this exchange, La Marzocco created the Palestra dei Mestieri (Skills Gym), a training program that promotes the transfer of skills across generations. Launched in 2021, the initiative has already involved over 360 participants in more than 35 sessions, offering growth opportunities to younger generations while highlighting the value of seniority within the company.

Diversity of Ability

Understanding “disability” as any psycho-physical condition that may lead to exclusion, La Marzocco is committed to fostering an accessible, supportive, and respectful environment. The company believes in valuing every individual’s uniqueness, breaking down cultural, sensory, and physical barriers, and promoting a new narrative around disability—focused on abilities and potential.
Our approach is not based on charity, but on empowerment. For this reason, La Marzocco entrusts the assembly of some product components to a local social cooperative employing people with disabilities, and collaborates with organizations that specialize in reintegrating individuals with vulnerabilities, such as in the U_MANI – Unica_mente In_sieme project.

Cultural Diversity

At La Marzocco, cultural diversity is seen as an opportunity for growth and enrichment. Our company brings together over 20 nationalities from around the world—a community of people who share common values and bring different sensitivities, languages, and perspectives to their everyday work.

We are committed to fostering the integration of all cultures, celebrating their unique traits, and building an inclusive and open corporate culture.

Inclusion

The commitment of the entire organization is essential in building an inclusive culture that values diversity. That’s why La Marzocco:

  • defines and implements inclusive policies at all organizational levels;
  • adopts neutral hiring and selection processes that embrace all forms of diversity;
  • promotes welfare policies and work-life balance;
  • ensures transparency and objectivity in evaluation, career advancement, and rewards systems;
  • communicates progress and results in DE&I transparently.
Onboarding, Training, and Development

Our people-focused approach begins on day one. La Marzocco’s onboarding process guarantees equal opportunities for learning and integration, valuing every new team member and strengthening their sense of belonging.

This journey continues with training, coaching, and mentoring programs that enhance skills and awareness. At a global level, the Global Orientation Week extends these principles to our international branches, encouraging cultural exchange and promoting our core company values
